Nestled in a prime location, the hotel serves as a convenient base for exploring the area while also offering a cozy atmosphere. Our Minster room featured comfortable furnishings and a delightful sitting area, which added to the overall allure of our stay. the immaculate cleanliness was impressive-Polly, the housekeeper, ensured there was no dust in sight. I particularly appreciated the free toiletries, which added an extra touch of convenience. Although a bit pricey, the stay included several enjoyable features, such as the welcoming bar area, where we enjoyed live entertainment in a relaxing setting. While breakfast was satisfactory, the highlight was the accessible garden area-a lovely spot for morning coffee. For adventure travelers like me, weighing the cost against the comfort makes the Golden Fleece a solid choice. It effortlessly combines historical charm with modern amenities.
